Satin Spar | Rod - Small

These Satin Spar Rods feature luminous white colouring with the natural silky striations this mineral is known for. At approximately 15cm long, these rods are thinner and lighter than our standard Satin Spar rods, making them an affordable and easy addition to your crystal collection.

Often sold under the name Selenite, Satin Spar and true Selenite are actually different forms of the same mineral, Gypsum. Satin Spar has a fibrous structure and silky appearance, while true Selenite is typically more transparent and forms in clearer crystals.

Satin Spar commonly forms through the evaporation of mineral-rich water, allowing Gypsum to crystallise over time. Its parallel fibrous structure creates the distinctive pearly sheen and luminous appearance this mineral is known for.
