Satin Spar | Rod

These Satin Spar Rods feature the luminous white colouring and natural silky striations this mineral is known for. At approximately 15cm long, these are a thicker and heavier option than our smaller Satin Spar rods, making them lovely for display as well as crystal rituals.

Satin Spar is associated with cleansing, clarity and calm, and is traditionally used by crystal lovers to cleanse spaces and other crystals. You can place a rod alongside your crystal collection, use it during meditation or simply keep one nearby as part of your everyday space.

Often sold under the name Selenite, Satin Spar and true Selenite are actually different forms of the same mineral, Gypsum. Satin Spar has a fibrous structure and silky appearance, while true Selenite is typically more transparent and forms in clearer crystals.

Satin Spar commonly forms through the evaporation of mineral-rich water, allowing Gypsum to crystallise over time. Its parallel fibrous structure creates the distinctive pearly sheen and luminous appearance this mineral is known for.
